AvaTrade Partner Code 128979: The Real Story
Someone asks me about partner codes every couple of weeks. Usually the same question: do you get discounted fees or free trading?
No. AvaTrade has no commission on forex here trades. You pay the spread. The spread is the fee. A partner code doesn't touch it.
Partner code 128979 gets you access to the deposit bonus. Bonus money added to your account based on deposit size. Nothing more complicated than that.
How much bonus do you receive?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
$2,000 adds $400.
$5,000 to $9,999 adds $1,000.
Top tier is $14,000 on deposits over $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
Account minimum is $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.
Where to enter the code
When you're signing up. After you enter your phone number, there's a small link saying "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. The field expands. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
Sometimes it shows as invalid, don't worry. Finish signing up. Reach out to your account manager first. Tell them you want 128979 applied. They handle this regularly.
You can't withdraw the bonus straight away
There's a volume requirement.
Around 10,000 units per dollar of bonus. $200 bonus requires 2,000,000 units of trading volume. Takes a while if you trade small. Active traders hit it quicker than expected.
Your own money stays yours. Access it whenever you need. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
Something useful to understand: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. That breathing room helps while you're learning.
